ABOUT VOICE MUSKOKA

Voice Muskoka is a private speech language pathology clinic located on Gryffin Farm, in a quiet forest in Utterson just south of Huntsville. It is a serene spot in nature for your therapy sessions. Say hello to the chickens and goats on your way in or out, and we might even do a therapy session nearby! Speech and language services are available for all ages and are also available virtually.

ABOUT CARA SCHIEDEL

Cara Schiedel MS(C) S-LP Reg. CASLPO  is a speech-language pathologist registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and is also a member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC).  Cara has a passion in helping individuals communicate in the way that is right for them. She believes that neurodiversity is important in our world. 


Cara started her career as a communicative disorders assistant and completed her masters at Ithaca College in New York to become a speech-language pathologist. Cara worked in public health services with children aged 0-18 for many years in addition to offering gender affirmation voice therapy privately. She has received training in Motor Speech 201 and Fluency 201 from the Speech and Stuttering Institute, as well as PROMPT for children with motor speech difficulties. Cara holds several Hanen certifications including More Than Words, It Takes Two to Talk and I'm Ready. She was on the feeding clinic at One Kids Place Children's Treatment Centre for several years.

In her personal life, Cara is busy looking after her goats and chickens! She is an avid yogi. Cara is also currently undergoing certification in Animal Assisted Therapy, which she hopes to bring as a service to Voice Muskoka in the future!
